Education
Later, Ms. Cossette received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Univensity of Utah.
Like all teachers, she continued to take graduate coursework from a variety of colleges
in the U.S.
Military Service
Ms. Cossette served as an Army nurse and ward master in a evacuation tent hospital
in the Utah National Guard for three years.
She was stationed in Saudi Arabia
during Desert Shield and Desert Storm taking care of soldiers and sailors.
She then returned home to work in an Apache Helicopter Unit as a combat field medic
for three years.
Some of Ms. Cossette's favorite military work was fueling helicopters and
taking care of flight crews and ground support soldiers. Out of all her military
experiences, she says her best memory was flying in Blackhawk UH60
and Scout OH58 choppers.
Today
Ms. Cossette has been a nurse for twenty-eight years in
all kinds of settings. She has also been a teacher for ten years in big city schools
in Utah and in
rural farm communities in Idaho.
Today Ms. Cossette works at our school as a nurse.
